How to cure papillomas

Papillomas on the skin of the eyelids that require treatment

Papillomavirus is the most common virus found in the human body. It can remain in a latent state, that is, dormant, from several months to several years. Under the influence of certain provocative factors, the virus begins to appear in the form of the formation of warts and growths on the skin, called papillomas. How to treat papillomas, which are the symptoms of such an infectious disease, is described in more detail in the article.

Features of treatment

Only a specialist should treat human papillomavirus infection. Therapy with folk remedies at home is carried out only with the consent of the attending physician.

According to official data, there are more than 100 types of this disease. Treatment and characteristic symptoms will vary in each case. It is for this reason that it is quite difficult to decide on the necessary method of therapy, and the wrong approach can cause the situation to worsen and the symptoms of the pathology to spread throughout the body.

Before starting the treatment of papillomas on the body, the doctor discovers the real cause of the development of the disease.

Only then does the specialist decide on the most effective method of therapy. Of course, at the pharmacy counters you can find many medicines that would help to remove the symptoms of the disease, but some of them can not only be ineffective, but also worsen the course of the pathology.

One of them includes acid for cauterizing infectious growths and nitrogen for freezing, the use of which helps them fall off on their own. There are also special patches that stick to the affected area and leave for 2-3 hours. After this time, the area is moistened with water, the patch is peeled off and the wart comes out with it.

Well-known doctors believe that such therapy methods are effective only in eliminating the external manifestations of the disease, while HPV still remains in the body and can be activated after a certain period of time. To get rid of the papillomavirus itself, you need to see a doctor. In this case, special antiviral agents are prescribed that can suppress the infection and its generalization in the body.

So, let's see how to get rid of the external manifestations that characterize the disease, and this is:

  • cryodestruction,
  • laser therapy,
  • electrocoagulation,
  • radio wave surgery.

Cryodestruction

The traditional method of treating papillomas in men and women is cryodestruction, that is, the use of liquid nitrogen, which is applied to the wart, freezing it. Immediately after application, a burning sensation appears, which disappears after a short time. Despite this concern, the procedure helps to necrotize the growth tissue, after which it dies. This allows new healthy tissue to grow in the area.

Cryodestruction - the targeted removal of the papilloma using liquid nitrogen

Liquid nitrogen, when applied to a skin tumor, is unable to affect the surrounding healthy tissue.

The advantage is that there is no risk of bleeding, because the arterial and venous arteries located in this section are blocked during the freezing process. The area treated with liquid nitrogen heals quite quickly. There is no scar left in him, because such a drug does not transform the tissues. In some cases, a barely visible scar remains, but this is quite rare. For the most part, this is smooth and clean skin after the procedure.

This method of treating papillomas in women and men is practically painless, except for a slight burning sensation immediately after applying the product.

Laser removal

Some doctors do not even think about how to treat papilloma in this or that person, but immediately prescribe laser therapy. During the treatment, low-intensity rays are used, which helps to achieve the following results:

  • stimulation of normal blood circulation in the affected area;
  • improving tissue nutrition;
  • activation of self-healing processes.

All these processes together help in the rapid healing of the treated surface. There are 2 stages in the treatment of symptoms of the disease:

  • Cutting growth.
  • Coagulation (closure of blood vessels and affected cells).

It is the second stage of therapy that ensures the exclusion of the development of any inflammatory process in the area of laser exposure and tissue scarring. As a rule, after the removal of a tumor with a diameter of no more than 5 mm, no scar as such is left. After getting rid of the largest growths, you can observe the formation of invisible spots that have a white tint.

Laser therapy has the advantage of eliminating the possibility of touching surrounding healthy tissue, thus reducing the risk of infection. Another advantage of the treatment is the ability to control the depth of laser exposure during the procedure. The target is only the changed tissue, namely, the area with warts, which turns into a crust and falls off.

Taking into account the accuracy of the effects of laser rays, we can conclude that papillomas can be cured with this method even in the genital area, eliminating the risk of complications in the postoperative period. As for the disadvantages of laser therapy, they include a side effect - a burn, which disappears on its own over time.

Electrocoagulation

You can treat growths in any area (papilloma on the neck, armpit, etc. ) using electrocoagulation - a method that involves the use of an electric current to cauterize the changed tissue. The current comes from a special device - the main instrument involved in the procedure.

Electrocoagulation procedure for effective papilloma removal

Electrocautery is a cheap indulgence that makes therapy possible for any average person.

The total duration of a session is no more than 15 minutes. If the growth is small, there is no need for repeated treatment. Complete relief from symptoms occurs 7 days after the procedure. During this time there is no pain or discomfort.

For all people, including a child, there is a need to check the removed tissue for malignancy. This is necessary because even a benign neoplasm can degenerate into a malignancy. In this case, the biological material is subjected to histological analysis.

Before performing electrocoagulation, the specialist performs diagnostic measures that make it possible to identify existing contraindications for the use of this technique.

Radiotherapy

Symptoms caused by the virus and its activity in the body can be treated using a technique such as radiotherapy. Treatment will help eliminate single growths and multiple tumors throughout the body. The advantages of such therapy include the absence of the risk of postoperative wounds and the elimination of stimulation of nerve endings. This is what allows the method to be used in the treatment of papillomas in any area, including on the face, for example, in the eyes.

The following contraindications include:

  • pregnancy period;
  • accompanying cancer;
  • inflammatory process in the skin in the area where therapy is required;
  • menstruation;
  • any disease that appears in the acute phase.

Before performing the therapy, the area affected by the radio waves is treated with an anesthetic. This can be a special anesthetic cream, spray or an injection with such a drug. The total duration of the session is not more than 30 minutes. After the direct removal of the growth, a small wound appears in its place, which heals over time and a thin crust is formed in its place. The latter also disappears after some time.

How to get rid of a virus

Treatment of papillomavirus by getting rid of only the external manifestations will not be effective, because in the future it will continue to appear through the appearance of the same symptoms. So, is it possible to cure such a virus and how to do it? To achieve this goal, special drugs are prescribed, used in combination, namely:

  • antivirals in different forms of release;
  • immunomodulators.

With the help of antiviral drugs, it is possible to destroy the structure of the human papillomavirus and have a preventive effect on its further spread throughout the body. These can be gels, oils, tablets, suppositories, solutions for injection. Tablets are considered more effective. Tablet drugs are often prescribed to help suppress the activity of the virus.

If papillomavirus symptoms appear in the genitals, the use of rectal suppositories is prescribed, which help eliminate and prevent the inflammatory process in this area and strengthen local immunity. The daily dose of such products is 1-2 suppositories.

Immunomodulators are prescribed to increase the body's resistance to virus activity. These should only be prescribed by a specialist, because they affect the human immune system.

Treatment at home

As mentioned above, folk remedies are only an addition to the main therapy, but in no case the main treatment. You can use the following natural ingredients:

  • egg (raw protein is applied to the growth of the skin several times a day until it begins to fall off on its own);
  • castor oil (rub the affected areas with this product several times a day, covering them with a bandage or scarf; the method is used until the growth disappears);
  • laundry soap (the method is used only in case of existing papillomas on the skin; such treatment is not suitable for the mucous membrane; rub the growth for 5 days, trying not to damage the integrity of the tissues);
  • celandine (after steaming the skin with a new growth, together with the new growth, it is smeared with a fatty cream and then with herbal juice; the procedure is carried out several times a day for a week);
  • garlic (used in the treatment of papillomas in any area except the face and genitals, so that it does not burn; smear the growth with a clove cut in half every 5 minutes for half an hour; perform the procedure in the morning and in the evening. for 2 weeks);
  • iodine (after lubricating the skin around the growth with a rich cream, iodine is used: using a cotton swab, applied to the growth until symptoms of inflammation appear, after which it begins to fall off on its own);
  • dandelion (using the plant, make an infusion by filling the heads with cologne and letting it infuse for 2 weeks; after this time, filter the infusion and smear the growth with it until it falls off on its own).

Human papillomavirus infection can become dangerous to health, especially if treatment is not started in a timely and complete manner. This is why it is important to consult a doctor at the first warning signs.
